{"id":905,"date":"2009-04-02T10:40:47","date_gmt":"2009-04-02T17:40:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wwwold.sketchwar.org\/?p=905"},"modified":"2009-04-02T10:40:47","modified_gmt":"2009-04-02T17:40:47","slug":"csi-alaska-part-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sketchwar.org\/?p=905","title":{"rendered":"CSI: Alaska (part I)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi-dey ho, sketch-a-rinos!<\/p>\n<p>Sorry for the absence &#8211; last week was a rehearsal \/ performance filled blur, and this week started off the same way.<\/p>\n<p>But neither wind nor sleet nor lack of sleep can keep me from my appointed rounds.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to try something different this week too&#8230;.instead of a single sketch, I&#8217;m going to do a runner &#8211; a series of short sketches that would be placed intermittently through a review that, hopefully, in the end add up to something more.<\/p>\n<p>So without further ado, here&#8217;s the first one&#8230;.CSI: Alaska<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"fountain\">\n<p class=\"sceneheader\">EXT. ALASKAN PLAIN &#8211; DAY<\/p>\n<p class=\"action\">LEVI and STRAUSS, bundled up in parka\u2019s and gloves, stand over the carcass of a dead moose in blowing snow on a barren whit plain. Strauss wears a navy blue parka with a police badge pinned to the front and \u201cCSI\u201d stenciled on the back in big yellow letters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STRAUSS<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">The trajectory indicates the moose was shot from up high with a high powered rifle, probably from a helicopter. Not very sportsman-like&#46;&#46;&#46;the moose never had a chance.<\/p>\n<p>Levi pulls a .45 automatic out of his jacket and shoots Strauss in the head.\u00a0 Strauss falls dead. Levi pulls out a cell phone and makes a call.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">LEVI<\/p>\n<p>Hey Ethel, it\u2019s Levi. Tell the governor we gotta hire another CSI chief.
