A secluded spot on the NY side of the Hudson River. The GW Bridge is recognizable to the north. The camera focuses out on the river.<\/p>\n

MARTIN (O.S.)<\/p>\n

Goddamn, it’s cold!<\/p>\n

PIERRE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

Oui. I could have stayed in Quebec if I’d wanted to freeze my tail off.<\/p>\n

MADELINE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

The job’s here, not in Quebec. Stop your squawking and focus. The boss is almost in position.<\/p>\n

PIERRE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

I still don’t understand the plan.<\/p>\n

MADELINE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

That’s because you’re a stubborn old fool. Look, the courier is on the plane, right?<\/p>\n

PIERRE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

Oui.<\/p>\n

MADELINE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

He always has the case with him?<\/p>\n

MARTIN (O.S.)<\/p>\n

You don’t have to talk down to us.<\/p>\n

MADELINE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

I think maybe I do. We need a distraction, some way to create enough chaos that the courier forgets the case for just a moment. Then Marcel can grab it and get out.<\/p>\n

PIERRE (O.S.)<\/p>\n

And that’s why–<\/p>\n

CUT TO:<\/p>\n

The three plotters are in bird costumes. Goddamn Canada Geese.<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

–That’s why we crash the plane.<\/p>\n

CUT TO MAIN TITLES:<\/p>\n

Montage of the Geese committing crimes. Picking locks, picking pockets, cracking safes, stuff blowing up, and finally a slo-mo walk toward us by all four of the Geese criminals. The title on the screen…GOOD FOR THE GANDER<\/p>\n

EXT. RIVERBANK – DAY<\/p>\n

The three Geese are right where we left them, stomping their webbed feet in the cold.<\/p>\n

MARTIN<\/p>\n

What’s with this manifesto you sent out?<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

We’re taking out the plane for the Canuck Avian Liberation Front.<\/p>\n

PIERRE<\/p>\n

CALF?<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

Yes.<\/p>\n

PIERRE<\/p>\n

Shouldn’t it be BIRD, or GOOSE, or something like that?<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

Cute.<\/p>\n

PIERRE<\/p>\n

Really, who are they?<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

I read about them in Time Magazine. It should throw the Feds off our scent.<\/p>\n

A cellphone rings. Martin takes his out of his pocket and answers.<\/p>\n

MARTIN<\/p>\n

Go.<\/p>\n

(beat)<\/p>\n

Alright, we’re ready.<\/p>\n

He hangs up and turns to his comrades.<\/p>\n

MARTIN (CONT’D)<\/p>\n

They’re airborne. It’s time.<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

Remember…flap around like crazy so the pilot thinks there are more of us, then throw the frozen turkeys toward the engines. The turbines will do the rest.<\/p>\n

PIERRE<\/p>\n

See you on the other side!<\/p>\n

Pierre starts to run toward the water flapping his wings.<\/p>\n

MADELINE<\/p>\n

No, you idiot! The rendezvous is on this side of the river!<\/p>\n
