A wizened gray haired professor stands in front of a<\/p>\n<p class=\"action\">large lecture hall and dozens and dozens of fresh faced freshman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Welcome to Biology 101.  We begin our journey into the biological sciences with evolution, the story of&#46;&#46;&#46;<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"parenthetical\">(cutting off professor)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">I don\u2019t believe in evolution.  Will we be considering intelligent design?<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">No, we won\u2019t be considering intelligent design, nor creationism of any kind in this classroom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Why?<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Because the Bible, whatever it may be, isn\u2019t a scientific text.  And if one wanted to treat it like one, they would need to learn ancient Hebrew, Coptic, ancient Greek, and all the other languages the Bible was written in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Why?<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Because those are the languages the Bible was originally written in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Why?<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Because&#46;&#46;&#46;well&#46;&#46;&#46;it\u2019s.  I mean.  Those were the languages of the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Why?<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Because the Bible wasn\u2019t written in English, those were the languages&#46;&#46;&#46; I mean.  Human language&#46;&#46;&#46;has changed over time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Why?<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">PROFESSOR<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Because language evolves&#46;&#46;&#46;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"character\">STUDENT<\/p>\n<p class=\"parenthetical\">(cutting off professor)<\/p>\n<p class=\"dialogue\">Oh, I don\u2019t believe in evolution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"action\">Student packs his bags and leaves.
