Thanks y'all! *pokes around the web* Hmm -- the last American show set at an embassy was The American Embassy, a FOX show from '02. (It was cancelled after three episodes.) More recently ('06), there was a BBC miniseries called The State Within, set in & around the British embassy in D. C.

I like it. I see you changed your poetry quote to open; I like the new one better.

Like mine, this is very much more of an opening scene in a pilot than a sketch, so the humor is muted for both of us this week, but I like this setting. When was the last time there was a show about an embassy? I'd definitely want to watch more of this.

Very nicely done. This could be the opening to a very nice, little political thriller.
